Another "bravo" deserved, Matt. As someone who manages to bring doom and gloom - and Hiroshima, child rape, the Shoah, etc., up at cocktail parties (in order to shatter the small, small talk and Pollyanna treacle) if given enough time, this is fascinating. I'm also pleased to see that there's a new printing of THE i TETRALOGY.

"'Nazis were not aliens, but variants of each of us'"
"'Here there is no why.'"

I nod vigorously.

See INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

You make a terrific appeal, Matt, to an American who, in his/her "conditioned existence," needs to keep at least some semblance of a spirited emotion far more deeply interfused as they "waddle through the shit we call America." SL

It is so hard to endure the calamities and adversities in our lives. It so easy to be grateful for all the good and joyous events and so hard to accept and be grateful for the hardships. It is the bad and good TOGETHER that make us the person that we are in life. If we fight and struggle with the negativity in our lives without eventually embracing it, I think we lose out. Of course, this all easier said than done and is not at all easy. I am sorry for all your troubles and hope things will be getting better for you soon. Hang in there. I know it's a corny saying, but remember what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.
